台灣的位置在兩個板塊的交界上，東南方是菲律賓海板塊，西北方則是歐亞板塊，台灣位在這兩個板塊的交界上，地震多，溫泉也多，所以在台灣到處都可以泡湯。跟日本一樣，日本也是在地震帶上，所以高山多，加上水資源豐富，地底的地下水經過地熱加溫，湧出地面後，就變成溫泉了。冬天適合泡溫泉，而夏天則有冷泉，到蘇澳可以泡蘇澳冷泉...

板塊 bǎnkuài: (tectonic) plate

交界 jiāojiè: the edge (of two plates)

泡湯 pàotāng: to enjoy hot springs; to soak in hot springs

地震帶 dìzhèn dài: earthquake zone

地底 dìdǐ: underground; subterranean

湧 yǒng: (water) rise (from the ground)

蘇澳 Sū ào: Su'ao Township,  located in northeastern Taiwan. It’s famous for its “cold spring”
