📖 TODAY’S TOPIC: JESUS APPEARS AFTER THE RESURRECTION

Acts 1:3 - After his suffering, he showed himself to these men and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive.

He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the Kingdom of God.


Jesus appears to Mary Magdalene - Mark 16:9-11  
Jesus appears to two believers on the road - Mark 16:12-13  
The Great Commission - Mark 16:15-16 (also Matthew 28:16-20)  
Jesus Ascends to Heaven - Mark 16:19-20 (also Luke 24:50-53)  

🌍 WHAT DID THE APOSTLES DO?

Simon Peter:
Preached in Egypt and Persia, joined Thaddaeus. Went to Rome around A.D. 42. Crucified in A.D. 67 upside down on Vatican Hill in Rome.

James:
Traveled to Spain, then returned to Jerusalem. Beheaded around A.D. 44 by King Herod Agrippa.

John:
Banished to the island of Patmos. Wrote the Book of Revelation.

Thomas:
Preached as far as Kerala, South India. Martyred by spear. His remains were brought to Edessa.

Philip:
Preached in Greece and Syria with his sister Mariamne and Bartholomew.

Andrew:
Preached around the Black Sea and in Greece/Turkey. Crucified in Patras (no exact date found).

Stephen:
Martyred by stoning at the hands of Saul (who later became the Apostle Paul).
