On Palm Sunday, we remember the moment Jesus entered Jerusalem to the cheers of the crowd—a king welcomed with celebration and expectation. But within days, everything changed.

Why? Because Jesus wasn’t the kind of king people expected.

In this message, we look at how the same crowd that praised Jesus quickly turned against Him—and what that reveals about our own expectations of God. While people wanted immediate change and a better life now, Jesus came on a far greater mission: to rescue us from sin and defeat death itself.

Looking at Acts 4, we also see the boldness of Jesus’ followers after His resurrection. Their message was clear and controversial then—and still is today: salvation is found in Jesus alone.

This Palm Sunday invites us to wrestle with a deeper question: Will we trust Jesus for who He truly is, even when He doesn’t fit our plans?

As we begin Holy Week, this message helps us see that God’s ways are higher than ours—and far better than we could imagine.
