Matthew Green is the Member of Parliament for Hamilton Centre. He was first elected to Parliament in the 2019 federal election. Previously, he served as a City Councillor for Hamilton Ward 3. He was the first person of Afro-Canadian descent elected to the Hamilton City Council. He is a fierce advocate for housing, food security, environmental, racial justice, and Indigenous causes, among many others.
