The newest guest on the pod is Carla García Medina: a researcher in Computer Science and Engineering! 💫In her 2018 EUCYS project, she applied genetic algorithms to solve the "Travelling Salesman Problem", which is considered a computational NP problem. 💻 She participated at the 8th International Swiss Talent Forum, where outstanding young talents across the world are assigned different challenges. 🇨🇭Carla developed an iOS application for IDEA (Independent Democracy of Informal Economy Association) Cambodia. She worked for companies and institutions in ML and Deep learning, and now she studies at NYU Tandon School of Engineering! 🍎Carla is also the winner of several prizes, such as the National Youth Prize in Volunteering and the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Award.
