This week we are kicking off a special series that is directly geared toward healing heart wounds, and is near and dear to my own heart. Based on the Buddhist principle of the second arrow, I will endeavor to equip you with skills and mindset shifts to guide you away from the suffering that arises when you continually beat yourself up after an initial triggering painful (first arrow) event.

Today we examine the emotion of shame, the origin of the feeling, what separates it from guilt, how it formulates, and what to do if you continually suffer from it. So many people have a sense of unworthiness, insecurity, or deep seated negative self-judgement.

What to do when you don’t like yourself. We will talk about how to stop feeling shamed and ashamed. I will share with you how I have dealt with it in my life to feel more self-accepting, feel increased self-esteem, and better able to cope with life experiences.
