Do you have a friend who is walking through grief that you want to support? Or maybe are you grieving yourself and want to help the people around you best support you? I received some incredible questions asking what the best ways are to help a friend in their grief, and I share my thoughts on all of them.
The questions I answer in this episode are:
- How do you practically give grace to people who don't understand your grief?
- If you haven't seen a friend in a while and they talk with you "as if everything is normal," does that super bother you, or is it refreshing?
- How would you suggest someone should act with someone who is grieving who doesn’t want to talk about the loved one they lossed?
- How is it to “share grief” while living with your dad and Josh
- How does Josh understand/process the loss of your mom? How does that impact you?
- How relationship between family members has grown since
- If I have a friend whose parent passed away before I met them and they don’t talk about them much, should I try to foster more conversations about their parent? How do I bring that up?
- How can we practically support you, when we hear people saying harmful things?
- Do you enjoy it when someone brings up a memory of your mom, or does it upset you?
- Is it awkward for you in conversation if the person doesn't ask about your mom?
- Does it help or hurt when others speak about your mom?
