This week Sarah and Maggie talk about the NBC Today Show’s chimpanzee co-host from the 1950s named J. Fred Muggs. But more importantly, they connect with the hilarious, talented, and hilariously talented actor, comedian, writer, podcaster, performer… Leslie Collins!
About our guest: Leslie is currently serving as the Artist in Residence at Arts Mission Oak Cliff with her original performance piece “Miss B's Very Silly Playland Zirkus!” She has performed all over the country and on screens big and small and co-hosts a podcast all about Sumo wrestling with her sister called “Sumo Kaboom,” She is also teaching a sleigh of Musical Improv classes across DFW this summer. On top of all that, we learned she can write a song that makes potty training a breeze and love to sing about toots and farts in front of a live audience!
Other unstable topics covered: the merits of kids cooking breakfast, how to cook a hotdog (spoiler, it’s not boiled), the best Jerry Springer shut down that you’ll never hear, and why every golden retriever is named Maggie.
What do you think? Do you eat cereal for breakfast? Would you take on a sumo wrestler in a teddy? Do you like songs about toots and farts? Let us know!
All the pop culture, historic, scientific, and all-around fascinating facts and games are written and produced by Sarah and Maggie, and every episode is edited and hosted with love. Do them a solid: follow and review this podcast to help them grow.
