This week we watched a special effects and stop motion classic, 1963’s Jason and the Argonauts. Directed by Don Chaffey, and starring Todd Armstrong, Nancy Kovack, Honor Blackman, and Gary Raymond the film tells the tale of the legendary Greek hero who leads a team of intrepid adventurers in a perilous quest for the legendary Golden Fleece. It was made in collaboration with legendary stop-motion animation visual effects artist Ray Harryhausen and is known for its various legendary creatures, notably the iconic fight scene featuring seven skeleton warriors.
