Today's Amazing Black woman is Sheila Jackson for Day 16 of #29DaysofMagic! She is the Founder & Co-CEO of Jackson McCrea Whiskey. We talk about her first job at Planned Parenthood while she was in high school. We talk about how she had begun as a psychotherapist, and did a lot of writing for magazines like Essence. She shares that she has written two books about history, and has done so many amazing different types of writing. Sheila shares how she found out about the opportunity in the whiskey market and found a way to tailor the tastes to more woman centric, and how it's super enjoyable for everyone. Sheila shares about never saying "No way," instead taking a deep breath and then going after it, around her bootstrapping the whiskey brand. Sheila shares about how important it is to remember that the more we do the more we need self care.
