My latest weekend project has been to learn about parametric animation using Synfig, a very underrated free and open source piece of kit.

Maybe you would like to learn how to do stuff like this and I would like a tutorial to help you get started; or perhaps you saw an interesting animation somewhere and would like me to try and emulate it using only FLOSS tools? Either way, let me know in the comments and I'll do my best.
