Muslims in Australia and around the world today gather to celebrate Eid Al Adha and mark the end off another great act of worship - that is Hajj. This Festive celebration follows acts worship, that are marked with sacrifice, togetherness and unity. As we begin to farewell the hajj season where around over 2 million muslims performed the hajj ritual this year.
This celebration bring friends, families and communities together. It reminds us to present those values our faith teaches us, such as; visiting one another, being kind to another, and being generous and companionate. We are all in need of these values to help us strengthen the ties with our kin and bring us all closer as a community.
The Muslim community is very diverse and this is our strength and It is of great importance that we use media to reach out, to educate, to assimilate and showcase the good work we all do together a community.
On this note, I would like to take this opportunity to thank 2mfm staff and volunteers for there efforts and personally thank sponsors for their support.
