Faith is good but it does not stand alone. Peter says, "Add to your faith" a challenging list of characteristics that define our Father and redefine a child of God. Developing these qualities takes time, effort, and a lot of work. However, when we learn and practice these attitudes they will strengthen our walk with the Lord and keep us from falling away. 

So, let's "add to our faith" virtue, knowledge, self-control, steadfastness, godliness, brotherly affection, and love.
