Our Scripture passage for this Sunday comes from the Gospel of John 1:35–42. In this reading we hear of the first disciples who follow Jesus. Rather than simply telling us the story of what happened, John shares with us the important dialogue that takes place between Jesus and those two disciples. That dialogue is meant to take place in our lives of discipleship as well. Thus, this passage offers important insights to guide us as we seek to follow Jesus.
