Topic: Resiliency in Delay
Discussion: Who remembers the classic play (movie) #ARaisinInTheSun? What about Langston Hughes' poem #DreamDeferred? What about the feelings that accompany the words in this passage of scripture below?
Psalm 13:1
How long, O LORD? Will You forget me forever? How long will You hide Your face from me?
Each of the above examples portray the weariness we experience as we go through our delays; we often feel like the son in #ARaisinInTheSun - frustrated and at our wits end. Even more desolate is the image that is painted in the above-mentioned poem. Yet the Bible verse brings it on home. Feeling like GOD has forgotten about your circumstances (forgotten about you), causes one to feel desperate and full of despair; weary. We may want to grow weary in waiting but we would do better to trust and wait in hope and with great expectation in The LORD.
Why is it that not growing weary is such a struggle? Is it because we view delays as denials? What we must learn to do is to build up and operate in #ResiliencyinDelay.
When you hear the testimony of my fellow Storm Talk 365 Radio Podcaster's testimony, you will be inspired to seek #MasonJarWisdom so you too can operate in Resiliency in Delay. My younger brother (in CHRIST), Mr. Kenneth A. Graham is this week's guest on #ThePorch for our #Neighbor2Neighbor segment. His passion and sincerity are ushered into the conversation from the onset. You will go through a myriad of emotions as you hear the circumstances he has been allowed to thrive through, you will be delightfully impressed upon to live out your delays with resiliency.
To learn how to show #Resiliency during your delay(s), you will want to tune in to this week's episode of #2UpLiftAll with MsMyra as it premieres on StormTalk365 Radio!
Psalm 56:3 ESV / 7 When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.
