1 Corinthians 7:20-24The Message (MSG)
20-22 Stay where you were when God called your name. Were you a slave? Slavery is no roadblock to obeying and believing. I don’t mean you’re stuck and can’t leave. If you have a chance at freedom, go ahead and take it. I’m simply trying to point out that under your new Master you’re going to experience a marvelous freedom you would never have dreamed of. On the other hand, if you were free when Christ called you, you’ll experience a delightful “enslavement to God” you would never have dreamed of.
23-24 All of you, slave and free both, were once held hostage in a sinful society. Then a huge sum was paid out for your ransom. So please don’t, out of old habit, slip back into being or doing what everyone else tells you. Friends, stay where you were called to be. God is there. Hold the high ground with him at your side.
Based on the above scriptures each of you Neighbors that come to share with us on #ThePorch be it your first time or yet another time, have had something or someone to cause you to sink so deep that although you may not have found yourself literally under a bridge (you have been under a bridge in your mind). Or some of you listening this was truly a reality of your physical surroundings. Either way, you felt or feel stuck. You don't believe your life will ever change. You feel or felt it is possible for everybody else. Of Course we know there are those of you out there who this has not and could not happen to you (your own belief) but you know others that it could or has happened to. So, we invite you to share this Podcast with all your Neighbors because they all could really benefit from this episode. Of course you can't really know that unless you listen for yourself. Truth be told I benefited from this week's topic and so will you.
What caused you to find yourself under a bridge? Do you want to stay under a bridge or do you want to get out from under a bridge? Do you feel that your experience under a bridge can help someone else to come on top of a bridge?
When you hear the conversation between myself and this week's #Neighbor2Neighbor segment Guest, Blossom Rogers you will be inspired to seek #MasonJarWisdom so you can eventually come out from under your Bridge but more importantly that you too can blossom under a bridge. In addition, you will be able to take all the mess and trials that occurred to bring you to living under a bridge and that occurred while under a bridge to help others to make it while and make it after their experience under a bridge; GOD will get The Glory that you were able to Blossom Under A Bridge. Make sure you have enough to drink in your #MasonJar and that your note-taking device is fully-prepared for use for your visit to #ThePorch this week.
To learn how you too can blossom from under a bridge (in your own life), you will want to tune in to this week's episode of #2UpLiftAll Podcast as it premieres on StormTalk365 Radio!
