...but what does that even mean?

We live in a cultural moment where what it means to “Be a Man” seems to be changing. Some people lament this change as a departure from the traditional understanding of mature masculinity that has resulted in immature boys in men’s bodies, while others see these changes as a healthy and necessary departure from the emotion-suppressing, socially-isolated, toxic masculinity picture of what it means to be a man. 

In this episode, Tom and Pete share their own experiences of growing up as men within Christian culture, and the unraveling they’ve experienced as a result. They discuss whether it’s true that there are many “unfinished men” in our society today, and why that might be. They also reflect on their own journeys of what they’ve had to learn and unlearn as they’ve navigated their own emotional and spiritual lives as men.
