Sometimes we think that the spiritual disciplines of giving, praying, and fasting are reserved for the "super spiritual" followers of Jesus, but in Matthew 6, Jesus said "when" we give, pray, and fast instead of "if" we do. In other words, these rhythms are standard for His followers. This week, we learned that we shouldn't make optional what God makes standard.
