#3 - Dr. Martha Mullally: Adapting new learning methods for student success

Listen Later

Dr. Martha Mullally is a Professor at Carleton University, teaching Biotech, Microbiology, and plant biology. She has quite the unique approach to teaching. Rather than the traditional method of lecturing where the students listen and the professor speaks, Dr. Mullally aims to provide a more engaging experience by organizing workshops, presentations, and activities that puts the students in groups together to solve specifically designed problems where the goal is to develop their critical thinking. We explore how Dr. Mullally never considered becoming a professor until she did, and all the great work she's done since to help students succeed.
