1) Birth – We must have a spiritual beginning, being born again as the Scripture describes it

2) Growth – Once we have begun, we need to grow in our faith and understanding of God’s Word 

3) Reproduction – The Scripture gives us the task of sharing what we know with others, helping them to come into relationship with God and helping them to grow in their faith as well 

Christian Essential #1 Spiritual Birth

Today We’re going to take a closer look at the First of the 3 Essentials – Birth. 

How do we actually get “Born” into the Family of God? Why is it important and necessary for each one of us? How can we share this information with other people in a simple way?

Consider Your Personal Relationship With Jesus

Scripture Focus

Believe (Trust) - John 3:1-17

Repent - Matthew 4:17

Obey - John 14:15

We must TRUST in Jesus. This requires action (FAITH).

In order to fully trust Jesus with our lives, we must change the way we think, aligning our thought processes with the way God thinks. As we read His Word, the Bible, we begin to understand God's way of thinking.

The Scriptures say that we can RENEW our minds by studying and gaining an understanding of the Word.

Once we know what God intends for us to do, we must OBEY, showing that we TRUST Him with every area of our lives.

Consider These Questions - Personal Assessment

Have you surrendered your life to God's way of doing things? If not, why not?

If so, how are you doing at trusting, repenting, and obeying?
