She was living a dangerous life due to her drug addiction where she had no reltationship with her children and her nine grandchildren, had contracted Hepatitus C, was in and out out of jail for many years, and many more difficult challenges.

She has overcome all of that though and she now has a relationship with all three of her children and nine grandchildren, has been treated for Hepititus C and is now Hepititus C negative, has received pardons for her criminal offenses, and so much more!
