In order to really understand what happened on the night of March 26th, 1973, I needed to... hit the bricks, as they say. I had to get out onto the street and see the actual places where these events actually happened. I wanted to go to all the locations I had read about.
Tina's house on 20th st. Her friend's house on Quincy Ave.. Virginia and Washington avenue. And finally the beach off Main st where Tina's body had been discovered. I wanted to put myself in Tina’s eyes that night. Get a feel for the neighborhood and surrounding areas. What part of town did this all happen in? I grew up in or near Racine my whole life, but I wasn’t too familiar with this section of town.
But the question is.. where to begin?
In this episode I investigate all those areas. I conquer my fears and try to attempt to contact Tina's sister Bonnie in hopes of learning more about Tina. I spend hours going through microfilm news archives at the library and I go to the Racine Police Department to look for answers.
