While I can't prove anything, I believe a place I applied for a job at didn't accept me because they are homophobic. The owners are known to be conservative and to display homophobic actions. It's really the only thing I can think of because I was otherwise qualified. Homophobia lives on...
AMC To Reopen
AMC says they plan to reopen a lot of their movie theatres across the United States. The first day the cinemas are open tickets will only cost you 15-cents a piece to celebrate their centennial, which is good since the movies are older. They said "1920 prices in 2020", however the process are only good for the one day. Tickets and popcorn will remain at $5 a person through October, which makes it a great bargain even if you want to just support the company.
Nashville Fighting Transportainment
Nashville's tourism has taken a hit during the COVID-19 pandemic, but that hasn't stopped some companies from complying with orders. If you've been to Nashville, you will remember the peddle taverns and other transportainment where you drink as you're driven around. Nashville finally banned them from operating, so they moved to next door Williamson County where they only lasted a day.
Fingernail Care
For as long as I can remember, I've bitten my nails. However, with COVID-19 hitting our shores in the spring, I stopped biting them for fear of getting the virus. It helped that my boyfriend was a nailbiter too. We both have done an amazing job at stopping this bad habit. Though sometimes I still wanna give them a gnaw. They are growing better looking and stronger than ever before.
