When high school Latin teacher Steve Perkins was in 5th grade, he wrote a list about what he would do if he were to become a teacher someday.  Keeping manila folders, not allowing comic books, no throwing paper wads and having a good sense of humor were some of the items on his Top 10 list. 

Thirty-five years later, Steve Perkins became the Indiana State Teacher of the Year and he shares with listeners how much the list he made as a 10 year old is still relevant in today's classroom.

Despite what most people might think of Latin, Steve shares his passion for Latin with Anthony Arno and President Obama's reaction to what the name Obama means in Latin when spelled backwards.
