The soccer vs. football debate rages on. It's Called Soccer" is a historical fiction set in the British Empire. The story follows Sir Lionel Kensington, a British lord stationed in the remote southern lands of the empire, and his interactions with his American guest, Lieutenant-Colonel Cletus McCormint, and the female guests of the estate. The story is set in the Georgian era and is full of colonial stereotypes, including differences in social classes, cultural norms, and beliefs. The narrative highlights the contrast between the refined British society and the uncouth American culture, and explores the power dynamics between the two nations. Despite the differences, the two lords bond over a shared love of hunting and billiards, but their relationship is not without tension. The story concludes with Sir Lionel having a brilliant epiphany, which he shares with his wife, Eleanor.
