In the third letter of John, the apostle encourages an early church leader in the good that he has done to help missionaries proclaim the story of Jesus. Then John encourages his to continue supporting them. Part two of the short letter is a rebuke of someone coming against the teachings of Paul and against those seeking to help missionaries. Finally John encourages the believers to imitate good and not to imitate evil. Gey yourself out of the way-then to good and boast in the Lord.
