  • How can you be spoiler-free in this world?
  • The long format is back: but we listen to videos and podcasts at double-speed - does this mean that there is a mismatch between the content and the listener?
  • Content is now long-form, but we still want the TL;DR
  • Audio is a better medium because you can multitask while you listen
  • Spending time to read a book will likely improve retention
  • The 50-page rule - if a book hasn't captured your imagination (fiction or non-fiction) by the time to hit 50 pages, give it up
  • Read the table of contents and glossary to rip through a book
  • How to solve the problem between search engines requiring long-form content and humans needing TL;DR
  • Needs a qualitative, not a quantitative measure
  • Maybe we should bring back the Yahoo! model - hand-curated directory model - community curation may be broken.
  • Look at peer reviews for journals - use credentials - eventually there is an equilibrium between the best-credentialed reviewer and the least. Put a lot of onus on the credibility of the reviewer
