New Years Eve 2014, 364 DAYS OF RUNNING IN A ROW DONE, IT WAS A COLD FROST ONE, IT WAS NEARLY COMPLETE, BUT MAN THERE WERE SOME MASSIVE MISTAKES MADE WHICH AS RUNNERS WE SHOULD MAKE SURE DON’T HAPPEN.   So what are the 3 major mistakes made when running every day.

1.  TOO FAST, TOO FAR, FOR HOW OFTEN YOU ARE PLANNING TO RUN – AVOID DOMS – RMEMEBR YOU ARE IN IT FOR THE LONG HAUL - ROH HILL 52 YEARS AND 39 DAYS

2.  RECOVERY TECHNIQUES  – lack of hot cold bathing – ice baths -the pros use it, sport science supports it for recovery – look at the elite multi day endurance athletes. Eating the right foods and hydration to allow you to run multiple days?

3.  GENERAL MAINTENANCE AND STRENGTH & CONDITIONING  - Stretching right after you have finished? Are you?  - are you doing light strength work as a second session, hamstrings, glute, adductors, abductors, quads and core work to support you through this?  - foam rolling? Why not – you are just going to get tighter and tighter and tighter through this
