We'd love to hear what you think!
In this episode, I interview my sweet friend Mary, my sister in all things pregnancy, postpartum, and working motherhood. We've been lucky enough to walk this journey together with our first children's birth dates only weeks apart. Mary and I reflect on our friendship as we entered pregnancy and motherhood together and how we would have approached those early weeks of pregnancy differently with one another if we had a do over.
We discuss maternity leave and how she pivoted when FMLA wasn't an option as a new employee. We also talk about the importance of reframing your mindset surrounding your leave and how success while home with your baby will look and feel differently than success in your professional role. Mary also shares how she and her husband own an orchard on top of working full time jobs with two children and how they manage it all. We have an interesting conversation about how they take the time to reflect on how they want their children to perceive them and their work. All this and so many juicy tidbits inside this week's episode!
Until we meet again, come hang out w/ me on Instagram at HavingaMomMoment. This podcast is just for us moms/mamas to be, so drop me a DM if there’s something you’d like to hear about in a future episode!
