Today, in our new episode on the Intro to University Teaching podcast, Adrian and Olusola will be talking about Need vs Nice. In other words, we will be explaining how to distinguish between what content is essential to know, nice to know and not necessary include’ in our lessons during the process of design and structure of the course. We covered this content in the first half of our GPS 989 Introduction to University Teaching course where we learned how students learn, how to plan for teaching, and how to design short lessons.  The purpose of this podcast is for us to share what we ‘used to’ think and what we ‘now’ think, or do, regarding teaching.
