How can we teach our children to be obedient?

There's a spectrum that all fathers fall on, this is the Lion-Lamb spectrum. Listen to learn how to fall in the middle of that spectrum. One extreme or the other can be devastating.

Ephesians 6:1-3

1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2 “Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise— 3 “so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.”

4 Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.

Expect immediate obedience from your children. Children tend to live up to their parents' expectations. However, don't push it to the point of exasperation.
