Success and socialism usually don't mix. So why are there so many successful people in the media who seem to be fans of Karl Marx?

A few weeks back, I posted a meme saying the worst thing you could wish upon a commie was to become successful and find themselves on the other end of their own ideals. Hard work and sacrifice to achieve your dreams tends to disillusion you of wealth redistribution fantasies. But I ended up getting a lot of pushback on the idea, namely, Hollywood and mainstream media pendants.

How could one be a millionaire and still a leftist? How could you be rich and famous, and still espouse the utopian ideas of socialism? How do so many walking contradictions exist?
