Following the tragic death of George Floyd in May of 2020 the world was thrown into an immediate social reckoning with regards to how we view one another. Specifically in America there seemed to be newfound momentum for a rebirth of the civil rights movement of the 50s & 60s. During this time period in 2020 I made a promise to myself that I would seek out individuals that are different from me in order to learn more about their experience in The United States of America. Now I have the privilege of making good on that promise to myself with my conversation with Marie Mott.
I hope that you enjoy this conversation between Marie & myself! It was a pleasure speaking with Marie, and maybe one day we'll get to do a follow up episode together. Below is some information on Marie, as well as any affiliated or mentioned links. Thanks for listening!
