You can’t regulate your way out of a survival based mindset.
Before I ever stepped into nervous system healing, I had to rewire my mind first—because no amount of breath work, somatics, or ‘regulation hacks’ will work if your thoughts are fighting against you.
Once the mind is repatterned (or at least on its way), somatic work becomes the tool to reinforce and integrate the changes. But if someone is stuck in negative mental loops and only focusing on body based regulation, they’re likely just cycling between dysregulation and temporary relief.
