Communication happens when you market, sell, cooperate and lead.
It’s easier to inform rather than engage. So to effectively communicate we need to be able to engage those we are communicating with.
The additional complexity of your teams, and leadership from growing and scaling your business will require strategic communication that is effective and works at scale.
Growing up have you ever played the game telephone? One day in elementary school my music teacher had us play the game. If you haven’t played telephone before, it is when one person starts out with a phrase, whispers it to the next, and it continues like this all the way down the line to the last student in class. The last person would say what they were told… 9 times out of 10 it was not what the original student said. While in elementary school my music teacher taught us a valuable lesson. Don't just communicate- become an effective communicator. Any form of telephone in your business is killing momentum, results, and how effective you are.
You have nailed down the 1 to 1 communication. In the past it was you and a direct team member working towards results. Now the team has grown into leadership that you consistently have direct communication with, and then they communicate with their team. You need to ensure that the vision, strategy, and objectives don't get lost in a game of “telephone”.
And now that there are more people in your organization that there is a clear and effective ways to communicate so your business, it’s teams, and the individuals have clarity and can articulate vision, value, and impact! Both internally and externally to your market and clients.
