We become mothers, partners, entrepreneurs, tear dryers, money lenders, laundromat workers, ALL THE THINGS.  Before you know it, you don't know who you are anymore.  You wonder what happened to the energy you once had, the sexiness you showed with your partner without hesitation, the boundaries you formed to keep your peace.  All of it has gone nonexistent for some years.  What's the repercussions?  Loss of self-identity.
