I am often asked, "Are you married?" I tell the person yes. Then, the follow-up question is "Are you happily married?" I never understood why people ask the follow-up question. I always thought, of course, someone who was married would be happy. As my marriage grew in time. I have developed an understanding of the question,  "Are you happily married?".
