In episode 3, I chat with Tom Hymn, a long-standing creative in the Grand Rapids music community! We chat about Songs from the Annex (his recent album on the indie label Jugo + Rada Records) and how it fueled his creative drive in response to losing his job and being isolated during the 2020 stretch of the pandemic.
Tom Hymn has previously released 3 other albums and performed around the Midwest, but he also was a member of The Soil & The Sun, a wonderful indie group known especially for their 2014 hit "Are You?" In addition to the solo project, you can find him performing with groups around the Michigan music scene like Major Murphy, who are releasing their second album in 2021!
