In this GIMP 2.10.20 tutorial, I show you my 3 methods for adding a stroke to text. These are what I consider to be the best methods for stroking text in GIMP, which is a surprisingly easy task to accomplish in this free program! This is a perfect text effect for your graphic design projects - and is beginner friendly! All of these techniques are built directly into GIMP - no plugin required.
