This is the driving ethos of Aung San Suu Kyi and the entire peoples' movement for democracy in Myanmar. The oppressors get scared the closer they get to their hearts. I believe that evil is the fear of intimacy and violence is the defense mechanism to protect it. How easy it would be to want to kill the evil but we become evil in the process.
