This week in honour of Black History Month, I invited jasmine Smikle to the podcast. Jasmine shared her experience growing up in Canada as a black woman living in a predominantly white society.  We discuss the need for representation, diversity as well as the pressure black people,  along with other people of colour experience when being  "the only one ". There is silent pressure to show up,  go above and beyond just to prove that they belong in these spaces.
