Dubbed the 'best team money could buy', Southern Methodist University, held the best record in college football in the early eighties. They built their powerhouse on scandals, bribery and NCAA violations. These same things are what ultimately led to SMU's collegiate equivalent of the electric chair. It's a wild ride full of shady characters, Dallas bravado and the legacy of a team that never fully recovered.
