Dr. Lance Williams is a professor and youth advocate who specializes in Chicago history. His research has focused much on the history of Chicago street organizations. In this episode, Dr. Lance, Ali, Color1, and GLC discuss how European descendent immigrants in the mid 1900s and Black migrants from the South clashed upon arrival, missed opportunities doing the tenure Mayor Richard J. Daley’s reign, “King” David Barksdale’s rise, Larry Hoover’s true affiliation with the Black Stone Rangers, and many other topics.
