Blondes, Booze, and Bullsh*te

30. The Laws Of Music

Listen Later

Mia Zapata and her band The Gits were on there way to becoming the next big punk band to come out of Seattle in the 90s. They were frequently mentioned in the same sentence as Nirvana and Pearl Jam. On July 7, 1993 the punk world changed forever when Mia was found murdered. It’d be ten years before her murderer faced charges and her loved ones got justice.

From not being able to fight a bear in Alabama to not bringing your flamingo into a barbershop in Alaska, there’s a lot of weird state laws out there that you may not know about. Some may trigger you but most will confuse you and leave you wondering who the hell came up with these in the first place.
