#30 What is Confidence with Sam Synett

Listen Later

Today, we have a special guest joining us, Sam Synett, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Life Coach. Get ready to dive deep into the topic of confidence!

We tackle the big question: what exactly is confidence? Sam breaks it down for us, helping us understand the true essence of this elusive quality. We explore the idea of allowing ourselves to be seen, embracing vulnerability, and stepping into our authentic selves. Confidence is all about owning who we are and valuing our own opinions above those of others.

One thing we can't ignore in this digital age is the impact of social media on our confidence levels. Sam sheds light on how scrolling through picture-perfect posts and how the use of filters can affect our self-esteem and make us feel inadequate. We discuss the effects of comparison, which, is the thief of joy.

But here's the good news: confidence isn't a fixed state. It ebbs and flows, and that's okay. We explore the idea that confidence is a journey, and it's important to approach it with self-compassion. Sam shares valuable insights on how we can cultivate self-compassion and nurture our confidence along the way.

To wrap up the episode, Sam generously provides three crucial and simple tips to improve our confidence. These practical strategies can be easily incorporated into our daily lives, empowering us to boost our self-assurance and embrace the fullness of who we are.

So, if you're ready to dive into the world of confidence, join us for this insightful conversation with Sam Synett. Get ready to redefine what it means to be confident and discover the power of valuing yourself above all else. Let's dive in and take that confident leap together!

Sam shares what she is up to and how she is balancing meeting her own needs and providing the level of care her clients need. Check out her group, The Golden Hour, for more insight on how community with like-minded others can help your confidence.
