30. Why Old Habits Die Hard - and How to Build New Habits

Listen Later

What habits do you have? Would you consider them good habits or bad habits?  Do you know how they got formed? Have you ever tried to break a bad habit? Did it work? If so, do you know how you did it?  If not, do you know why you weren’t successful?

About half of the things you do in a day are habits.

  • Brushing our teeth
  • Getting dressed
  • Switching on lights when you enter a room
  • Your car-entry routine
  • Working Out

Today I a talk about habit formation, habit pruning (or more accurately, habit replacement), of course how our brains are involved, and how to make mega gains with tiny shifts.

Join me to learn why old habits die hard, and how we can hack the "habit loop" to create new, better habits. If your habits are running half your day, don't you want those habits to move you toward what you want? I know I do.
