South Sudan marked World Nature Conservation Day with a call for greater environmental stewardship and community action. Official urge citizens to plant trees and reduce plastic waste, highlighting the link between biodiversity and national resilience. Conservationists stress that protecting nature is a shared responsibility, not just for government and NGOs. The country is home to Africa’s largest mammal migration, which experts say must be preserved through local and international partnerships.
