Even though parenting goals are going to differ, most parent share the common goal to build and maintain a relationship with their child(ren) of trust, safety and connection. This means creating and maintaining the relationship in such a way that our kids want to come to us with their problems and struggles, that they feel safe with us to share their fears, their hurts, their goals and their dreams.
