Ash Perrin was born in Kent, grew up in Bedfordsheer, And currently lives in his show truck on the road.
12 Years ago, Ash set up the Flying Seagull Project - a troupe of entertainers engaging children and adults in art, music, craft, circus skills, games and performances. They have since worked in a wide range of settings in the UK and around the world, ranging from children's hospitals, orphanages and refugee camps to festivals and parties. The underlying philosophy of the Flying Seagull Project is that everyone - adults and children - have the right to put aside the cares of life and smile for a while.
Last year he published a book - The Real Play Revolution, Why We Need To Be Silly With Our Kids, and How To Do It. Not only does it make a passionate case for the importance of play in children’s lives, it is also a treasure trove of play ideas - activities, games and jokes for everyone.
