Broomsticks are the normal way of travel in the wizarding world. Most families had at least one broomstick in their house to use as transportation. There were multiple companies that made broomsticks, most notably the Cleansweep Broom Company, Comet Trading Company, and the Nimbus Racing Broom Company. Plus, there are other companies that made brooms for the wizarding world.
